URA’s Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui received 10 tender offers
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Tuesday) announced that a total of 10 tender offers have been received for the Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui. A tender review panel will consider the tenders received and make recommendation to the URA Board for a decision on the award of a development agreement in respect of this project. Earlier, the URA extended the invitation to tender for the project to Golden Code Development Limited on 8 May 2015 after the tender review panel reconsidered its expression of interest with supplementary information submitted to substantiate its hotel development experience. URA commences the fourth and last redevelopment project in the third round of demand-led pilot scheme
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Friday) announced the commencement of the fourth and last demand-led redevelopment project in the third round demand-led pilot scheme. The project, located at Nos. 5 - 13 Ash Street (odd number) in Tai Kok Tsui, is the 11th demand-led project commenced by the URA since the introduction of the demand-led pilot scheme in 2011. Occupying a site area of about 474 square metres, the project comprises five building blocks which were built in 1965 and in varied condition with unauthorised building structures. The living condition is considered unsatisfactory. The project affects a total of 79 property interests (including 65 domestic and 14 non-domestic property interests). 32 Expressions of Interest received for Development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) received a total of 32 Expressions of Interest for the development of Pak Tai Street/San Shan Road project in Ma Tau Kok when the invitation for submission closed today (Thursday). A tender review panel under the URA Board will shortlist qualified developers and invite them to submit tenders for the development project soon. The project site covers an area of about 1,087 square metres. Upon completion, it is planned to provide about 160 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 8,152 square metres and 1,631 square metres of commercial gross floor area. Invitation for Expressions of Interest for Development of Pak Tai Street / San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will invite interested developers to submit Expressions of Interest for the development of Pak Tai Street / San Shan Road Project in Ma Tau Kok beginning next Monday (11 May 2015). The project site covers an area of about 1,087 square metres. Upon completion, it is planned to provide about 160 residential units with a total residential gross floor area of about 8,152 square metres and 1,631 square metres of commercial gross floor area. Developers interested in the development are requested to substantiate their development experience and financial capability to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the URA. Invitation to Tender for Development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui
The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) today (Wednesday) invited a total of 20 property developers to tender for the development of Anchor Street/Fuk Tsun Street Project in Tai Kok Tsui. Following the expression of interest exercise which was closed on 15 April 2015, a tender review panel under the URA Board has decided to invite 20 qualified property developers to tender for the project (full list at annex), after taking into consideration their experience and financial strength to undertake the development in accordance with the requirements and criteria set by the Authority. Public open space at URA’s Kweilin Street project commemorates former New Asia College site
A new public open space is provided by the Lai Chi Kok Road/Kweilin Street and Yee Kuk Street project of the Urban Renewal Authority (URA), celebrating the historical connection of the New Asia College (NAC), which was located on this project site back in the 1950's. Nos. 61 - 65 Kweilin Street were formerly campus of NAC. NAC now forms part of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The URA has given careful consideration to this unique cultural link during the design of this 580 square-metre public open space. URA’s Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project attains 92% acceptance rate
Property owners representing 92 percent of the undivided shares of the Hang On Street demand-led redevelopment project in Kwun Tong have signed agreements to sell their properties to the Urban Renewal Authority within the 75-day conditional offer period expiring today (Wednesday). This demand-led project at Nos. 12 - 30 Hang On Street (even numbers) was commenced in November 2014. It is the third demand-led redevelopment project under the third round of the pilot scheme. Conditional acquisition offers were issued to property owners in the project on 16 January 2015. After the authorisation by the Secretary for Development to proceed with the project, and subject to no appeal or dismissal of all appeals 30 days after the publication of the authorisation, the URA will complete agreements

The URA Board reiterated that the URA would continue to uphold its social mission to the fullest to push forward urban renewal for the benefits of more people living in the old districts.
